OBJECTIVES
With 95% of the world’s trade handled by shipping, the maritime industry has a constant need for manpower with each requiring a captain and three navigation officers. With the continued growth of the world’s fleet, the demand for qualified officers will continue to increase over the next decade. As such, job prospects for self motivated, independent and adventurous youths are excellent to become a ship’s captain.

Ranaco responds to these needs with the introduction of the Diploma in Nautical Studies with Watch Keeping Officer (WKO). This program exposes the students of seamanship and navigation of ships where as it equipped student with the knowledge and relevant background for offshore and onshore career opportunities. This program conducted in accordance with Watchkeeping Officer (WKO) Program which is recognized by Marine Department and International Maritime Organization (IMO).
CAREERS
Warehousing, Forwarding/Logistics, Ship Agent, Consultant, Assistant Operations, Documentation Clerk/Executive, Marine Superintendent, Surveyor Enforcement Agency, and also in Government sectors such as Department Marine, Fisheries Department, Royal Costumes Of Malaysia and The Malaysian Maritime.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Malaysian Students:

Passed SPM or SPM(V) with minimum 3 credits in any subjects including Mathematics and any Science subjects.
Obtained pass in Additional Mathematics and Bahasa Malaysia; or
The same qualification from any institution that recognized by the Malaysian Government.
Good eye sight and normal colour vision.

Foreign Students:

Please submit your High School and any other relevant qualifications.
